My main medium is acrylic painting, however, I also spent many years as a fiber artist. I have a BA and an MA in Studio Art with minors in Art History and Art Education. I taught Art in both a public school system and at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN for 23 years. Having moved to Arizona in 1993, I got busy painting again a few years ago. I love creating close ups of flowers as well as painting images of southwestern “Portals” or entryways. I also am enjoying painting sunsets, landscapes, and abstracts (or non-objective images ). I have participated in numerous exhibitions in Minnesota and Arizona and the last two years have won first place for my acrylic paintings at The Fountain Hills Cultural Council's Juried Show.
